Walnut Pesto
I bought basil at the store today with the intent on making a pesto however, I forgot the pine nuts. Not to worry! Walnut to the rescue. I found this recipe on Cookinglight.com and voila. Pesto is now in the freezer for future use!
As I have gotten older, I've become more aware of making sure every day counts and enjoying life to the fullest. This means spending quality time with my family, eating delicious and healthy foods, exercising and making time for things I enjoy. I took a respite from this blog for a while but I'm coming back! Join me on my next adventure as I mix all my loves together on this blog. Most will be food and wine!!

I need to make some pesto soon... my sage plant is out of control! I love the use of walnuts - great substitute & more affordable too!
