Blue Chicken Burgers

This definitely is not a complicated recipe, or really a recipe at all. I just really love how all these flavors go together to create one of my most favorite burgers. Build one for yourself and eat it slowly because you will want to savor every bite.

Ground chicken, shaped into patties
1 TBSP blue cheese per burger
Avocado slices
BBQ sauce, Sweet Baby Ray's is preferred!
Lettuce
Fresh toasted buns

Cook the chicken patties 7-8 minutes on each side, added the blue cheese to the second side when you have about 5 minutes left. Build your burger and eat it up!

Chicken Parmesan Burgers

'

It's my turn with these. They've been floating around the What's Cooking board and blogs I visit so I figured it was time to try them. They were great. The recipe I got was from Elly Says Opa but I did change it a bit to suit what I had in the house. Today was about 95 degrees so I grilled them on my indoor George Foreman grill and it was a success. Definitely an easy grilling dinner.

Burgers

1 lb. ground chicken breast
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp chopped garlic

2 TBSP pasta sauce per burger
Shredded mozzarella or sliced mozz or provolone (4 slices)

Mix together the burger ingredients. From into 4 patties and set aside to let the flavors meld. I let mine sit in the fridge for about 5 hours.

Grill on each side about 7 minutes. Top with the cheese and melt. Top with the sauce and enjoy!

Loaded Turkey Burgers

I dug these turkey burgers out of my freezer for dinner on Monday night. I decided to add some deliciousness to them. Sauteed mushrooms and onions, turkey bacon and a slice of low fat swiss cheese. On a whole wheat bun, these burgers truly kicked ass!

Sundried Tomato and Basil Turkey Burgers

It's been abnormally hot for April in the Northeast. Today we saw the 90s which means it was a night to grill. Earlier I made some pesto so I wanted to make burgers that would go with it and also use up the remainder of my basil. So I made sundried tomato and basil turkey burgers! They were perfect way to end a hot day. We served them with grilled mushrooms and zucchini and Annie's Mac & Cheese.

1.25 lbs. lean ground turkey
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1/4 cup chopped sundried tomatoes (not packed in oil)

Combine all the ingredients in a medium sized bowl until well incorporated. Form into 5-6 patties and grill, approximately 10 minutes on each side.
